On Saturday Victoria's training wheel broke so we figured it was time to see if she could ride her bike without them. I figured Nathaniel would work with her after work on Monday but all morning she kept asking when she could learn to ride her bike. If anyone knows Victoria she is one very persistent child and asked every 5 minutes. So out came the wrench and off went the wheels. Within 5 minutes she was able to go a few feet by herself. Another few minutes and she had it down pretty good. I was amazed at how simple it was. The best part was while she was learning she kept saying "this is so cool". She couldn't contain her excitement. While we were practicing she got scared because animal control was chasing a fox through our neighborhood so she went inside. After they got the fox we went out to practice so more and she took off like a pro. She was able to turn a circle without any problems. All she had to practice was starting on her own which she got pretty quickly. As soon as Madeleine and Nathaniel got home she had to show them right away.

Madeleine was finally ready to make the plunge after seeing Victoria do it. So for our fhe we decided to have a bike riding night. We took her wheels off and she just took off. We didn't really need to help her. The last time we tried it at the beginning of the summer she just freaked out so I was expecting something similar. I was shocked at how she just took off and never looked back. She has really gotten her balance down by riding her scooter. It has given her more confidence.
