One nice thing about having Madeleine home half of the week is that we get to go out on field trips to do fun things. We took a trip out to the pond to feed the ducks. They loved it. The pond closest to us is always busy and therefore the ducks are never hungry. We drove a little farther to the next one and we had some hungry ducks, plus a lot of annoying pigeons. Nicholas and Victoria got a kick out of chasing the birds away. I was afraid they would run into the pond but no problems. Nicholas couldn't decide if he would rather eat the stale bread or feed it to the ducks. After trying a few bites he gave the rest to the ducks. After feeding the ducks Madeleine found a tree and wanted her picture taking in it. We all took our turns, even me. Madeleine did a pretty good job taking that picture, even if I don't look great in it. After the photo shoot, which Madeleine loved, we took a walk around the pond to see the turtles. We saw some that were bigger than dinner plates. Our turtles are tiny compared to the ones in the pond. We had a great time and enjoyed spending time together.
