Victoria's birthday party was scheduled for Saturday the 9th of May. My mom had flown in to spend her birthday with her and come to her party. The day my mom flew in was the day my grandma had her stroke. By Friday morning it was evident that she wasn't going to make it and so my mom needed to get home. We thought that maybe the kids and I would drive back to Utah with her on Saturday. But what to do about the birthday party? We decided to move it to that day. Thankfully I was actually mostly prepared. Cake was in the freezer all made, party was going to be an easy water party, and gifts were purchased. The only thing I hadn't done was goodie bags. Phone calls began to all the guests. Thankfully one very sweet, dear friend was kind enough to call most of the people on the list. She even wanted to make the goodie bags. Stephanie, you were a huge life savor!!!!!
Due to the short notice there were several of Victoria's friends that couldn't make it but we were so grateful for those that could. It ended up being a fun, easy birthday. Victoria couldn't have been happier.
